The plane landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Right from the airplane’s stairway, I could spot a beautiful young lady who appeared to be around twenty-five years old.

She was very tall with an average build. Her large eyes and long, very black eyebrows stood out.

She had well-shaped lips adorned with red lipstick.

She wore eye-catching English clothes embellished with stones that clung tightly to her body, and she had a small scarf tied on her hair. But that didn’t stop her long hair from being visible.

Her face looked serious ever since she stepped off the plane, and she kept glancing around as if looking for whoever came to pick her up.

She let out a long hiss and then dipped her slender hand into a small Gucci handbag.

She pulled out a pink iPhone 7+ and began dialing, clearly tired of scanning around. But just before she brought the phone to her ear, she spotted someone and hissed again, then tossed the phone back into her handbag and frowned.

The young lady walked up to her and said, “I’m so sorry, Pinky.”

Pinky threw a glare at her and said, “Come on, Leema! Since when have I been scanning around hoping to see you? People just keep staring at us. Tsk.” She hissed again.

The one called Leema apologized, and Pinky, holding a small suitcase, accepted the apology. They both walked together to the spot where Leema had parked the car.

Pinky got in, and Leema quickly placed the suitcase in the boot, then went around to the driver’s side, started the car, and they drove off.

Leema glanced at Pinky and said, “Pinky, please stop frowning. You know there’s a big deal ahead. You must put in effort to win the minister’s heart. He even gave me a car, just because I linked you two.”

Pinky smirked and said, “Looks like I’m about to cash out from that old man. Seriously.”

Leema burst into laughter. “Very true. I even think you two might go to Dubai. Looks like he’s not that into doing things locally.”

Pinky smiled again, dimples showing. “But before I meet any minister, we need to get to the hotel. I need to shower and pray first.”

“OK,” Leema replied.

They headed straight to Western Dreams Hotel, where Leema had already booked a room.

As Leema was trying to park, she accidentally scratched a car that was about to exit the hotel. She quickly pulled over and got out, and so did Pinky.

The car owner was inspecting the damage. He slowly looked up and down at them, then hissed.

Leema quickly said, “Please, I’m so sorry!”

But he started shouting. “If not for carelessness and irresponsibility, why would you hit my car like this?”

Pinky hissed loudly, turned to Leema, and said, “Let’s go. If he doesn’t want to forgive, fine. No one begged him.”

The man just stared at her, veins showing on his neck in anger. Then he stopped her and said, “Hey, who are you?”

She turned, rolled her eyes, and said, “My name is Pinky,” then dragged Leema away.

He hit his car hard with his palm. “Damn it! She doesn’t even know who I am. I’ll teach that girl a lesson.”

He looked again at the damage with deep frustration—it was his favorite car, even the color—black.

He hissed, got in, and drove away.

Room 105.

Once they entered, Pinky sighed, “Gosh, I’m so tired!”

Leema stayed silent. She had seen the car’s license plate and suspected it belonged to someone from the president’s family.

Pinky noticed and said, “Hey, what’s wrong with you? Don’t tell me you’re scared.”

“Uhm…” Leema replied. “I think he’s the president’s son.”

Pinky hissed. “So what? I don’t care. Let me go shower before you spoil my mood, scaredy-cat.”

Leema said, “You don’t understand. If he really is the president’s son, staying in Abuja might become hell for us.”

Pinky ignored her and went into the bathroom, letting the water rain down from the shower.

She wasn’t scared of anyone; she considered herself equal to everyone, even the so-called powerful ones.

Soon, she came out, wrapped in a towel. Seeing Leema deep in thought, she laughed and said, “You’re just embarrassing, Leema!”

Leema didn’t respond; she was still worried.

Pinky rolled her eyes, got dressed in a stylish English outfit—top and trousers that showcased her curves.

She wore her hijab, prayed, then sat down to do her makeup.

After spraying herself with Alia perfume, she picked up her handbag, looked at Leema (still lost in thought), and said, “Baby, I’m done. Let’s go. I can’t wait to meet this man!”

Leema slowly got up and handed Pinky the car keys. Pinky smiled and they left.

At the parking lot, Pinky got in the driver’s seat, Leema sat beside her, and they drove off.

After a while, Pinky said, “Scaredy-cat, where are we even going?”

“Maitama,” Leema replied.

“OK,” Pinky said and turned toward Maitama. She put on a Chris Brown song and sang along softly until they arrived.

Leema directed her until they reached the minister’s guest house.

At the gate, Pinky honked. The gatekeeper peeked out and opened it, letting them in.

“Wow,” Pinky said.

Leema replied, “Wait until you go inside.”

“I might end up making this place mine,” Pinky joked.

“You probably will,” Leema laughed.

They parked, both got out with their handbags, and Pinky tossed the car keys into her bag.

“Let’s go,” she said to Leema. “You’re the guide now.”

Leema smiled. “That’s how it is.”

They walked into the luxurious living room. Pinky didn’t even bother admiring the space—they just found a seat and sat down.

Leema pulled out her phone and dialed the minister’s number. He picked on the first ring like he had been waiting.

“We’re in the parlor,” she said.

“OK, OK. Come upstairs,” he replied.

She ended the call and told Pinky, “He’s upstairs, let’s go.”

Pinky followed her until they reached the minister’s private living area.

Upon seeing Pinky, the minister smiled widely, stood up, and opened his arms.

She gave him a flirtatious smile and walked into his embrace.

“Welcome,” he said.

“Thanks, dear,” she replied softly.

Leema cleared her throat. “Looks like Honourable forgot I’m still here, even though I brought Pinky.”

He laughed. “Leema, you did well. Watch out for your alert soon.”

She smiled and said, “Thank you, Honourable. May God bless Pinky.”

They sat down. But deep inside, Pinky was irritated—this old man looked like he would be a real burden.

He was huge, very dark, and quite ugly. And she hated ugly men.

But what could she do? She needed money to achieve her goals.

The minister looked at her. Pinky winked at him with a smile.

He pulled her closer and said, “God really created beauty. Tell me whatever you want, and I’ll give it to you.”

Joy sparked in her heart.

She exchanged a knowing smile with Leema.

Pinky rolled her eyes, then lowered her voice seductively and said,

“Baby, what I want right now is a new car…” then paused dramatically.

The minister said, “It’s yours. Don’t worry—just ask.”

“Thank you,” Pinky said. “And I want this house too.”

He laughed. “If that’s all, I’ll have the documents handed to you today.”

She was speechless, not expecting such quick agreement.

After regaining composure, she said, “Wow, baby… thank you! You’re too much.”

She gave him a peck on the cheek.

He closed his eyes in pleasure.

“What kind of car do you want?” he asked.

She pouted and said, “A 2017 Range Rover, black color, with a personalized license plate.”

“Done,” he said. “Your wish is granted.”
