Today started with intense heat due to a scorching sun. People were seeking shelter under shade or trees. The noise from the heavy traffic in Kano city was overwhelming, with most people in the vehicles sweating from the heat. Despite the congestion, street vendors, especially those selling water, continued to sell their goods as people needed cold water due to the heat.

I noticed a beautiful white car, indicating the wealth of its owner. Inside, a beautiful girl was lying in the back seat, reading a book. She was fair-skinned, but not too pale, resembling the complexion of Ethiopians. She had a long nose and large eyes. In the front seat was the driver. She looked up and said, "Balarabe, did you see the traffic jam? That's why I said we shouldn't come this way. Now I'm going to be late, and I have lectures now, I swear."

Balarabe responded, "Please, madam, I'm sorry. I didn't expect we would encounter this traffic jam."

She sighed in frustration and said, "I seriously want to know what causes this kind of congestion in Kano?" Without waiting for his explanation, she opened the car door and stepped out.

As she stepped out, a small red car pulled up beside her. The driver, a handsome young man, appeared cheerful, nodding his head in rhythm, possibly enjoying a song. He sipped from a Hollandia yoghurt carton while continuing to nod his head, even clapping his hands together in enjoyment.

Don't assume this beautiful girl was looking at him; not at all. Her attention was elsewhere until she felt something hit her chest. She quickly looked down.

Do you know what it was? It was the Hollandia yoghurt carton that the young man was drinking from, which spilled all over her black jallabiya. She looked up to see who did this, only to find the young man laughing uncontrollably, even hitting the steering wheel. The other young man beside him looked up and said, "Hey, man, are you okay? You're laughing alone like someone possessed by spirits."

Still laughing, the first young man pointed at Yasmeen, who stood there like a statue, shocked at the audacity of this person. Mas'ud, the second man, said, "You're really something, NAWAFF. How could you mess up a girl's clothes and then laugh at her? Do you even know who she is? Look at the license plate of her car."

NAWAFF scowled at Mas'ud and said, "I didn't tell her to stand there showing off, did I? And why should I care about the license plate?"

Yasmeen, hearing everything, felt her anger boiling. She approached the car and said, "Hey, you disrespectful fool who doesn't know how to value people. Can't you see the mess you've made?"

NAWAFF, annoyed, replied, "Who's the fool?"

She retorted, "You, of course! If fool isn't enough, I'll add crazy because you clearly have a small brain."

Furious, NAWAFF got out of the car and slapped her hard. The slap was loud, drawing the attention of passersby, especially the street vendors. She held her cheek, staring at him, then raised her hand to slap him back.

NAWAFF caught her hand and twisted it. "You insolent brat, let go of my hand," she demanded. As he raised his hand to slap her again, Mas'ud stepped in between them. "Hey, NAWAFF, how can you hit a girl when you're the one at fault?"

NAWAFF, still angry, retorted, "Come on, man, didn't you see her disrespecting me? Or are you deaf?"

People were now staring at them. Mas'ud tried to calm the situation, saying, "Come on, NAWAFF, you know your face is well-known. Why would you do something like this? Just imagine the media getting hold of this."

NAWAFF shrugged, "Let them tell the world what I did. Do they think I care? Just so they don't think a little girl can disrespect me and get away with it."

He turned to Yasmeen, "And you, write this down: I'll show you that I can outdo any madman in craziness."

Yasmeen, in turn, sneered and said, "Well, I'll show you that I can handle any madman, no matter how crazy."

NAWAFF lunged at her again, but Mas'ud stepped in, "What's wrong with you two? Don't you see people are watching? And you're blocking the road."

It was only then that NAWAFF noticed the congestion in front of them had cleared, but there were still people behind them, honking impatiently. Balarabe, who had been apologizing to Yasmeen all along, said, "Please, Madam, let's go. You're already late."

Yasmeen shot him a glare, sighed, and turned away. Mas'ud said, "Please, just forgive and forget. We are in public."
